In India, Dr. Kaur is studying displaced women and the impact of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression, documenting their experiences to determine the baseline for mental health care availability. A survey was completed with a displaced colony of woman and the results were matched with a database that looks at global violence and the availability of mental health providers to demonstrate the disparities for mental health coverage following trauma.
