Education Advisory Services

The Office of International Affairs (OIA) receives a number of requests from international institutions to review medical curriculum or develop educational specialty content. We are proud to partner with subject matter experts within our Medical Education team, who are well-equipped with subject matter experts to address these requests.

WCM offers the following Educational Advisory Services to international partners: 

1. Specialty Lectures 2. Seminar Series 3. CME Education Programming 4. Medical School Curriculum Review 5. Post-graduate Training

  1. Specialty Lectures: Virtual or in-person lectures on a topic of interest.
  2. Seminar Series: Courses on specialty topics requested by partner institutions that provide students with enhanced learning.
  3. Continued Medical Education (CME) Programming: Weill Cornell is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to authorize and issue CME credit for programs that are developed by Weill Cornell faculty. In this offering, Weill Cornell subject matter experts develop course series on a specialty topic requested by a foreign institute that includes certification or credit.   4. Medical Schoool Curriculum Review: Review of medical education curriculum at an international partner school. This may include development of new curriculum, improvement of existing curriculum, and/or assisting in the implementation of the new curriculum.
  5. Post-graduate Training: Review of residency and/or fellowship curriculum at an international partner site. This could include development of new curriculum, improvement of existing curriculum, and/or assisting in the implementation of the new curriculum.

Please note we are open to all levels of collaboration through our Education Advisory Services. If you are interested in a deeper level of collaboration (for example education center development, medical school development, etc.) please indicate in the intake form below and we’d be happy to set up some time to discuss.

phases

Phase 0: Initial proposal is discussed with partner. After alignment, contract development and legal sign-off occur to drive project launch.

Phase 1: Project needs are outlined and scoped, including plan, stakeholders, resources, and deliverables.

Phase 2: Implementation occurs including finalization of deliverables.

Phase 3: As operations are ongoing, quality of content and deliverables are validated to ensure continued success of project.
